FINDLAY, Ohio, July 20, 2012 - (ACN Newswire) - Marathon Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: MPC) today announced the publication of its 2011 Citizenship Report, which provides data about the company's performance in the areas of health and safety, environmental stewardship, diversity, governance and integrity, and economic impact.

The MPC 2011 Citizenship Report also provides data on the impact the company has on the economy, including dividends paid to shareholders, capital expenditures, payroll information, procurement spending amounts and income taxes.
Although MPC has recently finished its first year as an independent company, most of the metrics presented in its 2011 Citizenship Report provide five-year data trends, as the company tracked this data for several years prior to its spinoff from Marathon Oil Corporation.
