Indonesia's Former Vice President Supports Anti-Aging Movement

JAKARTA, INDONESIA, Jan 28, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - Former Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla supports the anti-aging movement around the world. He expressed his support to Dr. Deby Vinski, President of the World Council of Preventive Medicine (WOCPM) in Jakarta on Thursday, January 23, 2014.

WOCPM also said that they have planned to designate Jusuf Kalla as an advisor in its non-profit organization. WOCPM is a non-profit organization working in the field of anti-aging world and is based in Paris, France.

Deby said that Jusuf Kalla is a prominent figure who was very concerned about the health of the world. This was proven in 2009, when Jusuf Kalla still acted as Vice President, he opened an anti-aging world congress which was attended by 15 countries.

Deby Vinski also adopted a slogan famously said by Jusuf Kalla "Lebih Cepat Lebih Baik" (The Faster The Better) in the matter of helping others. According to Deby, anti-aging problems should be a main focus in health community of the world. The world is facing an increasing number of degenerative diseases due to unhealthy lifestyles.

In Indonesia, for example, degenerative diseases become an important issue because in 2025 Indonesia is expected to be a country with the highest elderly population in the world with the rate stood at 400%. "Therefore, the entire community must be prepared for early health investments from now," said Deby.

Deby, who had received awards International Star for Quality Award in Gold Category in Geneva, Switzerland October 29, 2013 is also emphasized that with WOCPM, she and her team have given accreditation for clinics, universities, and products with anti-aging labels. "The accreditations are already issued in 50 countries," she said.

Deby along with her team will also take a leading role in providing consultation for national and international health organization, governments, national leaders and medical societies, amongst others in their strategic effort.

"Obviously, our role will also include being a resource advisor in our profession and we will be responsible for providing accreditation for medical doctors, education/university programmes, medical products, instruments and equipment in the field of preventive, regenerative and anti-aging medicine in an international scope," she said.

WOCPM will also publish books and assist in the development of medical science in the world of anti-aging. "We will encourage the enhancement and enrichment of knowledge through new medical publications and professional books in the scope of practice of preventive, regenerative and anti-aging medicine," she added.

"In accordance with the goals of WOCPM, we want to play an active role in the world so the aspect of health and the future of mankind are well observed," she concluded.
