| Houseware and Textile Fairs Open Tomorrow at HKCEC |
Hong Kong, Apr 19, 2012 - (ACN Newswire) - More than 6,600 exhibitors from 42 countries and regions will take part in four Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) fairs this month. The HKTDC Hong Kong Houseware Fair and the HKTDC Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair open tomorrow (20 April) and continue through 23 April at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, at the HKCEC, and the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair, at AsiaWorld-Expo, will run from 27 April to 30 April.
ASEAN Pavilion for Houseware Fair
The 27th edition of the Hong Kong Houseware Fair, the largest fair of its kind in Asia, expects more than 2,000 exhibitors from 32 countries and regions. The fair will feature 15 group pavilions, including the ASEAN Select Pavilion, whose 85 exhibitors will showcase products from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
Other special product zones include the World of Pet Supplies, specialising in pet products and veterinary services, and the Hall of Elegance, showcasing designer collections and brand names, including Mastrad, Metier Atelier, OOObject, Topchoice and Umbra. The new Small-Order Zone will continue to offer thousands of products in a series of showcases at the Expo Drive Entrance, giving buyers the opportunity to place small-quantity orders at both the Houseware Fair and the Gifts & Premium Fair. The theme of "Sustainable Design Inspiration," which debuted last year, is "Animal Farm @Home," featuring specially designed furniture and products on display at the Hall 1D concourse.
Favourite New Homeware
"Vote for My Favourite New Homeware," a new feature of the houseware and textile fairs, spotlights popular new homeware products as judged by fair buyers online. Results have been announced on the fair website, and the winning entries will be showcased at Hall 3F concourse throughout the fair period.
Window Shopping
The third edition of the concurrent Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair will welcome more than 220 exhibitors from eight countries and regions. The new Window's Fashion & Accessories product zone will showcase curtains, blinds and accessories, while the Hall of Glamour will feature high-quality products by top designers, including A-Fontane Co Ltd, Consolidate Merchandise Associates, Craftex India, Kerala Balers Private Ltd, Sarla Handicrafts P Ltd, Sharda Exports, Wallpaper Mall and ZYD Co Ltd.
The Green-Products Display, at the Hall 1B Concourse, will showcase products with sustainable design, using environmentally friendly material. Joint seminars on eco-friendly home products and textiles, e-tailing strategies, product-launch sessions and networking events will highlight the latest market trends.
Treasure Hunt
The world' largest gift fair, the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, will present the latest gift products and trends from more than 4,000 exhibitors from 34 countries and regions, including 18 group pavilions.
Zoning In
The new "iAccessories" zone will spotlight gadgets and accessories for smartphones and tablet computers, while the popular Hall of Fine Designs will showcase high-end items by leading designers, including local brands B Duck, Chocolate Rain and Oowa. Other product zones include the World of Gift Ideas, Tech Gifts, Green Gifts, and Advertising Gifts & Premiums. The new Small-Order Zone will also be featured at the fair.
Results of the inaugural "Hong Kong Smart Gifts Design Awards 2012," organised by the Hong Kong Exporters' Association, will be announced at a networking reception, 27 April. Winning entries will be showcased during the fair, in Hall 5E.
Fair seminars will focus on procurement and e-tailing, innovative gifts and safety directives of gifts. Speakers will include representatives from Groupon, LOG-ON and the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Packaging Opportunities
At AsiaWorld-Expo, the seventh edition of the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair will welcome more than 340 exhibitors from seven countries and regions. The new De Luxe zone will offer luxury packaging products and material. The popular Green Printing & Packaging Solutions zone will showcase a wide range of sustainable printing and packaging, along with eco-friendly consumables.
A series of seminars will look at new trends in digital printing and offset printing, green and creative packaging designs, application of RFID and innovative paper applications.
