| Fair to Showcase Entrepreneurs and their Success Stories |
Hong Kong, May 2, 2012 - (ACN Newswire) - More than 120 exhibitors will take part in HKTDC Entrepreneur Day, 11-12 May, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
The two-day event, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will showcase business opportunities and support services for entrepreneurs.
Making Magic
Fair highlights will include some 20 seminars and feature the business stories of a variety of successful entrepreneurs. They include Shih Wing-ching, Chairman of AM730; Arthur Shek, Executive Director of the Hong Kong Economic Times Holdings; Ray Chung, Founder of OpenRice.com; Amanda Strang, founder of French cake shop Petite Amanda; magician Louis Yan; and Doris Leung, CEO of Diamond Cab.
Participating organisations will offer information on franchising, business intermediaries, online business, accounting, financing, legal advice, information technology, marketing and management support.
Building Business
"Starting a successful business depends on having sufficient information to make wise decisions. Entrepreneur Day presents seminars, exhibitions, forums and consultancy services, showcasing a wide variety of business opportunities and support," said HKTDC Assistant Executive Director Raymond Yip.
"We hope that new companies will take advantage of the fair to build their business," added Mr Yip, who noted that the HKTDC has a strong network and long experience in promoting trade. "We understand the needs of companies and use our expertise to help newly established SMEs."
New Trading Zone
This year's event will also feature a new Intellectual Property (IP) Trading Zone. With its advisory services, the zone encourages new entrepreneurs to explore business opportunities. The fair's well-received "I Want to Be a Boss" Attitude Analysis will also return this year.
