| SecureSphere for SharePoint 9.5 Delivers Greater Visibility To Help With Web Application and Data Discovery |
Redwood Shores, CA, May 24, 2012 - (ACN Newswire) - Imperva, Inc. (NYSE: IMPV), a pioneer and leader of a new category of data security solutions for high-value business data in the data center, today announced SecureSphere for SharePoint 9.5, enhancing compromised insider protection, and automated application discovery and data discovery integration.
The adoption of SharePoint for business data and applications raises critical questions about the security of collaboration. The same features that make information easy to share also enable inappropriate access and data leaks, and expose businesses to Web-based threats. Imperva SecureSphere for SharePoint provides greater control over collaboration, helping to ensure the right users have the right access to the right data, by securing lists, sites, libraries, folders and files and enabling administrators to create security policies and to manage access rights for any of these objects.
"We believe SharePoint remains under the radar when it comes to security," said Amichai Shulman, CTO, Imperva. "SecureSphere for SharePoint is designed to support the benefits of collaboration while mitigating security concerns for SharePoint's Web, file, and database components, so that organizations can more readily share information while decreasing the associated risks."
New SecureSphere for SharePoint features include:
Compromised Insider Protection - SecureSphere guards against the use of stolen credentials, such as user names and passwords, by enabling administrators to build "whitelist" or "blacklist" policies based on user IP addresses, ensuring only trusted users can access sensitive SharePoint applications and data.
Automated Application Discovery - Imperva SecureSphere for SharePoint automatically discovers SharePoint Web applications, streamlining security and compliance by enabling visibility and control over deployments at both the Site Collection and Application level.
Data Discovery Integration - SecureSphere can identify and protect critical SharePoint data via integration with third-party data discovery solutions such as RSA Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Datacenter.
SecureSphere for SharePoint version 9.5 is expected to be available in June 2012. Pricing begins at $17,000 USD. For more information please visit www.imperva.com .
