Singapore, June 29, 2012 - (ACN Newswire) - ELGA LabWater, global laboratory water brand of Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies, the world's leading water technology and service company has been awarded the contract to supply and install an ultra-pure water production system and innovative duplex distribution loop over 2 buildings and 6 different floors for the new Singapore General Hospital (SGH) expansion.
The Singapore General Hospital was established in 1821 and is Singapore's oldest and largest tertiary acute hospital with more than 1,500 beds and 8,200 employees. A new expansion project includes a new building which will host the Pathology, Research and Biochemistry departments of SGH.
Supplying the main contractor, Taikisha, Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies Singapore in collaboration with Chemoscience will install 12 CENTRA(R) and 4 MEDICA(R) units across the 13-storey building. The innovative solution delivers consistent purified water ensuring uptime for critical services such as pathology. Veolia will also provide a professional service to ensure the performance of the entire life of the system with experts in-house and field service support.
