PEMBROKE, Bermuda, Dec 17, 2012 - (ACN Newswire) - Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. (NYSE:ENH), a Bermuda-based specialty provider of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance, today announced that John L. O'Connor has been promoted to the new role of Chief Operations Officer with responsibility for Information Technology, Program Management, Strategic Sourcing and Insurance and Reinsurance Underwriting Operations. Mr. O'Connor will continue to report to Chief Executive Officer David Cash in this new position.

Mr. O'Connor served as Endurance's Chief Administrative Officer since September 2011 having joined the company in October 2004 as President and Chief Operating Officer of Endurance Services Limited. Prior to joining Endurance, Mr. O'Connor was a Partner with Accenture where he held several leadership positions in addition to providing consulting services to insurance clients. Mr. O'Connor holds a Certified Public Accountant designation and a Fellow of the Life Management Institute designation. He is a graduate of Fairfield University.
