JCB and Hua Nan Bank to Launch Debit Card with Contactless Functionality in Taiwan

TOKYO, June 19, 2013 - (ACN Newswire) - JCB International Co., Ltd. (JCBI), the international subsidiary of JCB, the only global payment brand based in Japan is pleased to announce that Hua Nan Bank JCB LOVE TSCC Debit Card will be launched this coming August.

Hua Nan Bank JCB LOVE TSCC Debit Card is the first debit card that has an option to be equipped with TSCC, offered by Easy Card Corporation. TSCC is a contactless payment service, which can be used as a fare card on trains and buses, and also accepted at some shops and restaurants. In addition, Hua Nan Bank JCB LOVE TSCC Debit Card is the first debit Precious card, the highest status card of JCB in Taiwan, which offers exclusive services including free airport transportation and special offers at high-end restaurants.

JCBI has been expanding business in Taiwan since 1981, and now has alliances with 30 partner banks and financial institutions for merchant acquiring and card issuing. Hua Nan Bank, a partner since 2000, is now the largest JCB card issuer in Taiwan.
