Dongfeng Honda Celebrates 10th Anniversary and Announces Mid-Term Business Plan

WUHAN, CHINA, July 16, 2013 - (ACN Newswire) - Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd., a Honda automobile production and sales joint venture in China, today held an event in Wuhan, China, to commemorate its 10th anniversary and to announce its mid-term business plan. Xu Ping, CEO of Dongfeng Motor Corporation as well as Honda executives including Takanobu Ito, President & CEO, and Seiji Kuraishi, Chief Operating Officer for regional operations in China, attended the event.

In 2004, a year after its establishment, Dongfeng Honda began production and sales of the CR-V. Since then, the company has been introducing products with unique characteristics such as Civic and Spirior. In 2012, Dongfeng Honda introduced its first originally developed model, the "CIIMO." Offering attractive products and high-quality after-sales service, Dongfeng Honda has grown into one of the most trusted automobile brands in China, providing products to more than 1.5 million customers in China.

At the event, Yasuhide Mizuno, President of Dongfeng Honda, announced its mid-term business plan with the key phrase "Challenge 1+." The "1" represents Dongfeng Honda's passion to become No. 1 in each area of business operations by quickly shifting gears from the new starting line, and the "+" represents its determination to take on new challenges to turn dreams into reality. Dongfeng Honda will strive to take the next leap forward by starting production at its second plant, which became operational last year with innovative production technologies, and by introducing six new models by the end of 2015.

Together with Dongfeng Honda, Honda will continue striving to deliver good products that go beyond the expectations of Chinese customers, with speed, affordability and low CO2 emissions.
