SINGAPORE, Nov 25, 2007 - (ACN Newswire) - The IR Magazine South East Asia Awards 2007 were announced at a prestigious luncheon at the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore on Friday, November 16. The Awards recognized top practitioners in investor relations in the region, honoring companies in Singapore at all market caps, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines, as well as in several general categories.
CapitaLand took home the grand prix for overall investor relations among large-cap companies at the IR Magazine South East Asia Awards. CapitaLand also took home awards for best investor relations website and best investor relations officers for a large-cap company (Jonathan Kuah and Harold Woo).
Qian Hu Corporation won two awards for small and mid-cap companies: the grand prix for overall investor relations, and the award for best corporate governance.

The awards were hosted in association with the Singapore Exchange and IRPAS, and were co-sponsored by the Bank of New York Mellon, Churchill Pryce IR, E&O Property Development Berhad, Financial PR, IFN Financial Press, Orient Capital, Qian Hu Corporation, SembCorp Marine, ShareInvestor, StarHub, Thai Beverage and Thomson Financial.
The awards are based on the results of an independent survey of nearly 350 buy-side analysts, sell-side analysts and portfolio managers from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and other Asian markets. The complete results from the survey are published in IR magazine's Investor Perception Study, Asia 2007/2008.
The IR magazine investor perception studies together make up the world's largest survey of this kind, canvassing over 5,000 analysts and investors in more than 14 countries and regions. Survey respondents nominate companies in specific categories and offer their opinions on IR-related topics and trends.
