PEMBROKE, Bermuda, Apr 4, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. (NYSE:ENH), a Bermuda-based specialty provider of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance, today announced that Mr. Richard Allen will join the company's London office this week as Executive Vice President and Head of International Professional Lines. Mr. Allen's responsibilities will include Endurance's International Professional Indemnity, Financial Institutions and Commercial D&O lines of business. Mr. Allen has nearly 20 years experience, having held a series of underwriting and management roles in the international professional lines market with a focus on financial institutions. He will report to Graham Evans, who joined Endurance in 2013 as Chief Executive Officer of International Insurance.

Mr. Allen joins Endurance from Axis Insurance Company where he was Senior Vice President and International Financial Institutions Manager. Prior to that, he held various Professional Liability underwriting and management roles over a period of twelve years with Novae Syndicates Limited. Mr. Allen started his career as a Financial Institutions underwriter at Chubb Insurance Company of Europe. He holds a bachelor's degree in Commerce and French from the University of Birmingham and Universite de Franche-Comte.
