| Asia's Largest Houseware Fair Opens 20 April with 2,000+ Exhibitors |
HONG KONG, Apr 10, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - More than 6,700 exhibitors from around the world are expected to take part in four international trade fairs later this month. The HKTDC Hong Kong Houseware Fair and the HKTDC Hong Kong International Home Textiles & Furnishings Fair open 20 April and continue through 23 April at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, at the HKCEC, and the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair, at AsiaWorld-Expo, will run from 27 April to 30 April.
ASEAN Select Houseware
The 29th Hong Kong Houseware Fair, the largest fair of its kind in Asia, will welcome more than 2,000 exhibitors from 34 countries and regions, including newcomers from Nepal, Norway, Oman and Poland. The fair will showcase 16 group pavilions, including the ASEAN Select Pavilion, hosting about 60 exhibitors from five countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
Fair highlights include three new zones: Avenue of Inspiration, Baby & Children's Homeware and Creative Arts & Cultural Craft. The Hall of Elegance will return, with such brands as BWT (Austria), Happycall (South Korea), Metier (Hong Kong), Multiple Choice by Topchoice (Hong Kong), Thomas Pottery (Hong Kong) and Vigar (Spain). Also back are the World of Fine Decor, World of Fine Dining, the World of Pet Supplies and the Small-Order Zone. Other product zones include Green Living, Health & Wellness, Home Tech, Kitchenware & Gadgets and Outdoor Living.
Special events include a range of product demonstrations forums and seminars. Pet supplies are a show feature, with pet-supply parades (20 and 22 April), a pet industry forum (21 April) and a seminar on creating pet products (22 April).
Textiles: Looking Good
The fifth Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair will feature more than 220 exhibitors from seven countries and regions, including group pavilions from the Chinese mainland and two from India: the Handloom Export Promotion Council and the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts.
The new Design Solutions and Trade Services zone will present interior design and product design offerings. Other zones will include Baby & Bedroom Textiles, Bathroom & Kitchen Textiles, Carpet & Floor Coverings, Upholstery & Furnishing, and Window Fashion & Accessories. Special events include product demonstrations, 20 April, as well as a home textiles seminar (20 April), an interior trend-tracker seminar (21 April), and a home textiles buyer forum (21 April).
Deluxe Gifts
The Gifts & Premium Fair, the largest of its kind in the world, will feature more than 4,100 exhibitors from 35 countries and regions, with first-time participation from Latvia and Luxembourg, as well as 15 group pavilions.
Travel and Holidays
Gift Fair highlights include three new product zones: Christmas Lighting, Travel Souvenirs Piazza, and Avenue of Inspiration, which will feature the products of young designers.
The Hall of Fine Designs returns, as does iAccessories, the Small-Order Zone and the World of Gift Ideas, the latter presenting the products of more than 770 exhibitors. The Hong Kong Exporters' Association pavilion will include a new zone, Brand Oasis, focused on brand building and corporate image. It will join the association's returning zones, Design Village and Isle of Originality, which will display a wide variety of stylish products.
Special fair events range from product parades to a buyer forum (28 April) spotlighting emerging market opportunities. Seminars feature innovative and lifestyle trends (28 April), product safety and supply-chain management (29 April) and online business channels (29 April). The winning entries of the Hong Kong Smart Gifts Design Awards will be on display throughout the fair.
Green Printing/Packaging
More than 400 exhibitors from seven countries and regions are expected for the ninth Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair at AsiaWorld-Expo.
New this year is Green Printing & Packaging Solutions. Returning areas include the De Luxe Zone, presenting luxury packaging products and materials, F&B Packaging Solutions, Digital Printing Equipment, Packaging Services and Printing Services.
Fair highlights include exhibitor and buyer forums and a wide range of seminars. They cover such topics as printing technology and green printing solutions (27 April), as well as luxury printing and packaging (28 April).
Winning designs of the Hong Kong Print Awards and the Hong Kong Digital Printing Award will be on show throughout the fair.
