COMPUTEX, Taipei, June 3, 2009 - (ACN Newswire) - Fresh from being named one of the top four netbook brands in the world, MSI is now preparing to launch a whole new range for Computex Taipei 2009 (June 2 - 6). These include the 12" Wind U200 based on the latest CULV platform, the U123 with digital TV support & 3.5G, the U120 that offers optional and WiMAX connectivity, or the U110 Eco for sheer small size. MSI will also be putting on display the U115 Hybrid that rose above all other notebook and computer system products at Computex to win the Best Choice award.
The new U115 Hybrid released by MSI is the world's first netbook to utilize the "Hybrid Storage" concept with a Solid State Disk (SSD) and conventional hard disk (HDD) running in parallel. Thanks to its novel hybrid storage design and ECO energy-saving technology, the U115 Hybrid can temporarily disable the conventional HDD in ECO mode and use the SSD exclusively. This allows the netbook to run for up to 16 hours.
For the 12" CULV platform, MSI has chosen to upsize the notebook with the new 12" Wind U200. Weighing in at just 1.4kg, it also incorporates an innovative bezel-less display to offer the notebook even more visual real estate while retaining its light weight. What's more, with the Intel latest CULV CPU, U200 brings you wider, faster, lighter and prettier solution. Thanks to these innovations, the Wind U200 not only has a stylish and compact chassis but also offers consumers a green choice for both performance and energy-savings.
The new U110 ECO is based on Intel Atom platform's Menlow processor. This combined with MSI's proprietary energy-saving delivers up to 9 hours of endurance with a 6-cell battery, making it the "Energy Saving King" of the netbook world. Apart from an endurance of up to 9 hours, the U110 ECO is also quite light and thin. With the battery fitted, it weights just 1kg and has the dimensions of B5 paper (26cm x 18cm).
The U110 ECO also supports 802.11" b/g/n wireless networking and Bluetooth wireless connectivity. It supports up to 2GB of memory and has a complete range of multimedia interfaces including a 4-in-1 card reader (XD, SD, MMC, Memory Stick), three USB 2.0 ports and a 1.3/2.0 Megapixel webcam. Having all these features in one package means you can now enjoy the total freedom of a digital lifestyle on the move.
The MSI U123 series offers three options: the U123, U123H and the U123T. Not only are these equipped with Intel's latest Atom processor and a stylish exterior they are also available in eye-catching Pearl White, Dolphin Gray, Midnight Blue and Silver Red. As for connectivity, 802.11 b/g/n WiFI and 3.5 mobile network cards are available for business users needing mobility. The U123H is embedded with 3.5G solution for you to communicate anytime, anywhere in a second. For the U123T, it offers an internal TV tuner as an option. Once a digital TV antenna is connected, the U123T can receive digital TV broadcasts without requiring a TV card. An infra-red remote control can be used to change channels and adjust the volume.
As for the MSI U120, it is now available in the Pearl White and Cool Black most popular with office users. For mobile commerce, U120 carries the Intel WiMax module therefore you can use the WiMax solution to feel the WiMax high speed benefit of enjoyment. Also, msi is also the only non-MNC OEM venders of Intel who got the WiMax RTP certificate. With the belief of "Insist on the best", msi will have more WiMax solutions to fulfill the customers' request.
