TOKYO, July 1, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - JCB International Co., Ltd. (JCBI), the international operations subsidiary of JCB, is pleased to offer JCB cardmembers from around the world[1] free admission to Tokyo Tower's Main Observatory starting today. When any of JCB's 17 million international cardmembers[2] in 16 countries and territories visits Japan they can enjoy the view from Tokyo Tower's Main Observatory (150 m) for free[3] just by showing their JCB card at the admission ticket window. This offer is available until June 30 2015.
According to the Japan National Tourist Organization, about 10.36 million international travelers visited Japan in 2013, the first year this number exceeded 10 million and up 24% over the previous year. The Japanese government has set a goal of 20 million in 2020, the year of the Tokyo Summer Olympics. Currently about 8.12 million visitors, or 78% of the total, come from countries in Asia. JCBI has been expanding its cardmember base actively in Asia Pacific and is continually developing new services for these cardmembers.
