London, July 29, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - Crawford & Company announces the appointment of Michel Schurer, who joins the business as Head of Internal Audit for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific (EMEA/AP).
Reporting to Greta Van, senior vice president of Internal Audit, Michel is based in London and will be responsible for finance and compliance audit across the company's network outside the Americas. The Internal Audit department jointly reports to both Allen W. Nelson - Crawford's executive vice president, general counsel, corporate secretary and chief administrative officer - and the Audit Committee of the Company's Board of Directors.
A seasoned expert in his field, Michel is multi-lingual in English, French, German, Spanish and Swedish, and he has a broad level of experience across a wide variety of industry sectors including pharmaceuticals and manufacturing, food & beverage and accounting. His most recent role was as director of Internal Audit across Europe for Koch Industries, Inc., which has annual revenues in excess of US$110 billion.
