CommunicAsia, Singapore, June 17, 2009 - (ACN Newswire) - BNS, Asia's leading IPTV technology and content solutions provider, has launched BNS Touch, an innovative multimedia solution designed to open new revenue streams and enhance customer loyalty for IPTV and hospitality operators.
The company is showcasing the new solution at its booth at CommunicAsia in Singapore next week and has also announced that it has signed an MOU with a major IPTV operator to integrate the solution on its service platform.
Combining IPTV technology with sophisticated invisible dot-code printing and recognition technology, BNS Touch is an TV shopping system that converges the browsing convenience of printed information with the information-rich multimedia experience of the online world.
Linking the printed with the online/TV world is The Wiz, a pen-like device equipped with a small infra-red camera and a sensor that brings items in a printed catalogue to life on the TV screen. The Wiz is available in a wired or wireless version for maximum application flexibility.
Working behind the scenes is a BNS-developed backend management system that includes content management, subscriber database integration, payment gateway and an inventory and logistics interface. This allows the shopping-on-demand system to integrate with existing IPTV services and shopping catalogues.

BNS Touch can also be applied to multimedia services such as interactive advertising and eLearning and is easily integrated on existing IPTV and other management platforms.
BNS will showcase BNS Touch and The Wiz at CommunicAsia at Singapore Expo from 16 19 June at its booth in Hall 3, which is part of the Singapore Pavilion.
