CLEVELAND, Ohio, Sept 5, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - The Lubrizol CPVC Piping Systems business announces the introduction of its new, advanced FlowGuard(TM) Plus Pipe & Fittings to the Indian plumbing industry. High performance FlowGuard Plus plumbing pipe and fittings are engineered with Lubrizol's specially formulated chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC). Among the advanced features that FlowGuard Plus delivers is a 25% higher pressure rating - 8.79 kg/cm2 @ 82 degrees Celsius, the highest of any CPVC pipe available.
Currently, FlowGuard Plus is produced by Lubrizol's two Indian manufacturing partners, Arshivad and Astral, from CPVC compounds produced in Europe and the United States. In the future, Lubrizol will provide the CPVC compounds from its new manufacturing facility currently under construction in Dahej, India. The plant is expected to begin compounding operation by mid-2015.

Ltd, at a recent FlowGuard Plus launch ceremony in Bangalore. "We have continuously studied the construction industry in India and the growing demand for proven, quality products," continued Timmons. "In response to that demand, we have launched our new FlowGuardPlus Pipe and Fittings in order to better serve market preferences and to create a greater visual differentiation for easier identification thanks to the product's new appearance."
A second launch ceremony, hosted by Timothy Madden, managing director, Lubrizol Advanced Materials, LSP and Estane - Europe, took place simultaneously in Ahmedabad. Both events were attended by staff members from Lubrizol and its manufacturing partners, Ashirvad and Astral, as well as numerous architects, builders, consultants and key industry personnel.
In addition to proven reliability and performance, FlowGuard Plus Pipe and Fittings have additional features to offer. FlowGuard Plus is available in two grades, SDR 11 and SDR 13.5. It can withstand temperatures up to 93 degrees Celsius and its hi-tech hot and cold plumbing technology resists corrosion and reduces condensation. The solvent weld joining system means fast, easy installations. The 25% higher pressure at 82 degrees Celsius rating for same wall thickness as other alternative CPVC means no concerns about leakage and greater peace of mind for the installer and home owner alike. Besides being energy efficient, the CPVC compound used in FlowGuard Plus is also NSF approved to assure the delivery of pure, clean, safe water. Diameter sizes range up to 12" (300mm) depending on the grade of pipe.
To further differentiate its FlowGuard CPVC pipe from the growing number of "look-alike" non-metallic plumbing pipe with a similar red stripe, Lubrizol has also changed the visual appearance of its new FlowGuard Plus pipe. The new appearance of the pipe will allow installers, customers and end users to quickly and easily identify the high quality FlowGuard Plus pipe to ensure they are getting the proven performance and quality of the only product produced with Lubrizol's specially engineered CPVC compounds.
