| Experienced technical adjuster will handle claims for automobile, marine and property & casualty losses |
ATLANTA, GA, Sept 19, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - Crawford & Company (NYSE: CRDA; CRDB), the world's largest independent provider of claims management solutions, has named Andre Lopes as technical director for Crawford's Brazil practice, effective immediately.
Lopes will be responsible for a number of industries and claims types, including automobile, marine and property & casualty, and will manage adjusting for all claim sizes, including small, medium and large and complex losses. Additionally, he will oversee client relationships and manage pricing and profitability, along with business development. He will also serve as a liaison with Crawford global management executives who lead relationships with reinsurers, and help manage issues between Brazilian insurance carriers and international reinsurers. Lopes is based in Crawford's Sao Paulo office and reports to Crawford's Country Manager for Brazil, Jose Vicente Gomes da Silva.

Lopes has 18 years of experience in the insurance industry and claims management, most recently serving as head of global corporate claims for Latin America for Zurich(R) Latin America, where he lead a team across five countries to establish claims technical standards. Prior to his six years with Zurich he was a senior technical coordinator for nine years with Allianz Seguros S.A. Among his academic credentials Lopes has a Bachelor's degree in Law from the Universidade Paulista and an executive Masters degree in Business Administration from Getulio Vargas FGV.
