The show presents viable options to upgrade existing operations and processes, and I am confident that it will bring new technologies to inspire not only our local SMEs, but the private sector as a whole, helping to generate more business opportunities. Manufacturing Myanmar certainly serves as a baseline to boost the development of partnerships and accelerate the integration of Myanmar's SMEs into global supply chains," comments H.E. On their participation at Manufacturing Myanmar 2014, Dr. Hans-Peter Laubscher, Managing Director-Asia Pacific, TRUMPF Pte Ltd says, "TRUMPF joins Manufacturing Myanmar 2014 to create brand awareness and promote our technological capabilities in this new and upcoming market. We will return again for the next edition of Manufacturing Myanmar."

For Myanmar, it is very important to cultivate a productive workforce to drive the economy forward. With skills development and the adoption of technologies in mind, local manufacturers were able to acquire knowledge on global best practices in operations and technology applications, and tap expertise readily shared by their international counterparts.

Commenting on his visit to Manufacturing Myanmar 2014, Mr. Win Naing, Engineer at Stream Engineering Group said, "It was definitely a fruitful trip as I got to see many manufacturing related machineries, technologies and products from so many foreign exhibitors all in one place. I will definitely come back again next year."

I was able to see some of the products that I was in need of and was able to meet the sellers personally to find out more and negotiate a business deal. I hope that the next edition will feature more exhibitors and products that can meet our needs."

"Making an investment to automate operations with the use of machines and various supporting equipment is certainly a stride forward in unlocking Myanmar's manufacturing potential. Creating a platform for the sharing of knowledge and best practices, and presenting business opportunities for the local industry, and providing international companies a gateway into the country make up the essence of what Manufacturing Myanmar is all about," says Ms. Lindy Wee, Deputy Chief Executive of organiser Singapore Exhibition Services.
