JCB International patronage Centre Des Monuments Nationaux
Making a contribution to preservation of cultural heritage in France

Tokyo and Paris, Dec 5, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - JCB International Co., Ltd. (JCBI), the international operations subsidiary of JCB Co., Ltd., and the Centre Des Monuments Nationaux (CMN), which conserves and restores historic monuments in France, are pleased to announce that JCBI signed an agreement with CMN to become a patron of CMN. The partnership will support the CMN's development of digital tools for the iconic World Heritage sites such as the Arc de Triomphe and Villa Cavrois, which will open its doors in June 2015.

CMN is a public administration that manages more than 100 important historical monuments including the Arc de Triomphe and the Abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel. JCB's patronage will assist CMN in its important mission to conserve these monuments as cultural assets not only for France but also for the world at large.

Not only has JCB built a JCB card acceptance network in France over the past 30 years, but also JCB operates the JCB Plaza and JCB Plaza Lounge customer service desks in France which provide JCB cardmembers with local travel and sightseeing information, and actively recommend the best shops, restaurants, spots of interest and cultural facilities. Acceptance of JCB brand payment at CMN administered monuments makes it all the more convenient to enjoy the country's cultural heritage for JCB cardmembers not only from Japan but also from all over Asia including China, Korea, Taiwan, and other countries across the world.

Koremitsu Sannomiya, President & COO of JCBI says, "We are proud to be now a part of CMN's important mission to conserve and restore France's historical monuments, and to promote the understanding of the French heritage. We are here to contribute to deeper cultural exchange between Japan and France now and in the future. JCBI will continue to promote tourism and cultural exchange above and beyond the boundaries of corporate activity for payments."

Philippe Belaval, President of the Centre des Monuments Nationaux says, "It is our pleasure that JCBI, the most popular and reliable payments brand in Asia, will be a patron of conserving our historical monuments. We look forward to welcoming more visitors from Asia to enjoy our heritage than ever through this cooperation with JCBI."
