Fujitsu Newly Formulates Its Information Security Policy
Complies with Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's "Cybersecurity Management Guidelines"

TOKYO, Apr 19, 2016 - (JCN Newswire) - Fujitsu today announced that it has newly formulated the Fujitsu Group Information Security Policy to conform to the "Cybersecurity Management Guidelines"(1) announced in December 2015 by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Information-Technology Promotion Agency.

The Fujitsu Group Information Security Policy is a global security policy that covers the entire Fujitsu Group according to decisions of the Risk Management & Compliance Committee(2).

METI expects that, through the Cybersecurity Management Guidelines, companies will formulate measures for cybersecurity risks and promulgate them both within and outside the organization. The Fujitsu Group, abiding by the spirit of the Guidelines, makes public its Information Security Policy and continues the improvement of its information security both within and outside the company.

(1) Cybersecurity Management Guidelines
To promote measures for cybersecurity under the leadership of corporate managers, these guidelines summarize the three principles that managers need to recognize and ten important items on which they should provide direction to chief information security officers (CISO) and others.

(2) Risk Management & Compliance Committee
Chaired by Tatsuya Tanaka, Representative Director and President, Fujitsu Limited, the committee is under the direct control of the company's Board of Directors, and is responsible for having a grasp of the status of risk management and compliance issues throughout the Fujitsu Group. Fujitsu positions the committee as the "Committee Related to Management Risks," as stipulated in the Cybersecurity Management Guidelines.
