TOKYO, Mar 29, 2017 - (JCN Newswire) - Fujitsu today announced that it has now joined the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC), a coalition promoting corporate social responsibility (CSR) within the global electronics supply chain. EICC is a non-profit coalition established in 2004 with the goal of supporting the rights and wellbeing of workers and communities worldwide affected by the global electronics supply chain. Currently, over 110 global companies have joined the group, including electronics makers and ICT companies, as well as retail, automotive, and toy-related companies. The EICC has set standards through its Code of Conduct for compliance issues in the supply chain related to labor, health and safety, the environment, ethics, and management systems. In implementing the Fujitsu Way, which represents the Fujitsu Group's philosophy and guiding principles, Fujitsu has undertaken CSR activities across the Group as a whole. Going forward, Fujitsu will respect the EICC's Code of Conduct, and, together with its partners, further strengthen initiatives related to CSR in its supply chain. As a global ICT company, Fujitsu is working hard to maintain ongoing responsible business activities, contributing to the sustainable development of society and the world.
