TOKYO, Oct 6, 2017 - (JCN Newswire) - Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has announced a change, effective October 1, 2017, to its visual identity (VI) used in communication areas(1) for its power products business. With the change, different sets of VI being used for different categories of power products will be replaced by the Honda logo, which will now be used for all categories of Honda power products. Through the unified use of the Honda logo, which represents the Honda brand and has already been used on various Honda power products, Honda will strive to strengthen the brand of its power products business all around the world.

To date, Honda power products business had been using a combination of the Honda logo and the respective category name as the VI for each product category, ranging from general-purpose engines, generators, tillers, lawnmowers, brush cutters to outboard engines. This type of VI had been in use for a variety of communications tools such as store signs and product catalogues in different languages in different countries.

Such category-by-category VI displays now will be changed to the use of the Honda logo for all categories. Through this change, Honda power products business will promote better recognition and a stronger sense of affinity by customers all around the world to further enhance its brand presence.
