Singapore and Hong Kong Top Destinations for Korean Workers - Robert Walters

With an increasing number of multinational companies entering Korea and domestic firms looking to expand globally, Korean workers are finding international transfers to be an increasingly important attribute for professional development and success.

According to Anthony Modrich, Country Manager, the survey results clearly support the growing attraction of pursuing a career abroad. "With a rising number of multinational firms focussing on the Asian market, more Korean professionals are recognising the potential benefits of international experience on a CV as a means for career progression. Internationally recognised designations, such as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), have resulted in global skill sets that have become more easily transferrable between countries. Reassignments to gain exposure in a foreign market are being seen as an important step in global professional development."
