PEMBROKE, Bermuda, July 10, 2012 - (ACN Newswire) - Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. (NYSE:ENH), a Bermuda-based specialty provider of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance, today announced that David Bigley has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Head of U.S. Property Catastrophe Reinsurance. Mr. Bigley, who joined Endurance in 2003, now reports to Stephen Young, Executive Vice President, Chief Underwriting Officer and Head of Global Catastrophe Reinsurance. In addition, Rene Lamer and Stefan Beine, both Senior Vice Presidents in Endurance's Global Catastrophe Reinsurance team, have assumed the roles of Head of Asia Pacific Property Catastrophe Reinsurance and Head of Europe Property Catastrophe Reinsurance, respectively.

Mr. Bigley joined Endurance's U.S. operation as a Property Reinsurance underwriter in May 2003 coincident with Endurance's renewal rights transaction with HartRe. In 2005, he relocated to the Bermuda office where he was promoted to Vice President, Property Reinsurance. Mr. Bigley earned an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and a BA in Economics from Trinity College. He also has an Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designation and serves as Secretary of the Bermuda Independent Underwriters Association, a role he has held since 2008.
