Leading manufacturing brands showcase their best-sellers at Vietnam's premier manufacturing trade event |
HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM, July 9, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - The Vietnamese manufacturing sector converges this week at MTA VIETNAM2014, which opens today with a host of the latest technologies and best-selling products from leading global manufacturing brands. The Vietnamese manufacturing sector registered its strongest rise in output since earlier this year, prompting a demand for more sophisticated products and technologies which will be on display at the show.
"MTA VIETNAM's role as a business exchange and networking platform for the industry cannot be further emphasised. As Vietnam competes to be the most competitive manufacturing market in South-east Asia, the country continues to attract healthy orders and investments. To improve productivity and maintain competitiveness, there needs to be continuous upgrade of capabilities and technological skills, and MTA VIETNAM fulfills this need," says Mr. Tee Boon Teong, Deputy Chief Representative, Singapore Exhibition Services' Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, organiser of MTA VIETNAM2014.
The premier manufacturing event in Vietnam
With more than 80 per cent overseas exhibitors and displays of the latest technologies, MTA VIETNAM2014 remains the staple industry event in the country. Visitors can expect leading industry brands that offer metal cutting, metal forming / sheet metal cutting, metrology, cutting tools & tooling systems and more.
Exhibitors present best-sellers at MTA VIETNAM2014
This year, many exhibitors are showcasing a host of the best-selling products in addition to their new product launches. Visitors can expect to view over 150 best-sellers on display at MTA Vietnam 2014.
Hurco brings to MTA VIETNAM2014 the VMi series of 3-axis machining centers that features a small footprint with a large work cube. The best-selling VM series now comes in a refreshed "I" design plus UltiMotion, a Hurco Proprietary Motion Control technology, which further improves surface finishes and reduce cycle time.
"Hurco's business in Vietnam remains a strong and growing one. Our participation in MTA Vietnam over the years has enabled us to reach out to Vietnam's exciting manufacturing sector. Over the years we have noted that Vietnam's manufacturing capability has grown and as such, their increased appetite for more high-end machines. At MTA VIETNAM, Hurco is showcasing our bestselling VM10i in an all new design with our proprietary UltiMotion Technology which enhances part surface finishing while reducing machining cycle time," says Mr. Lee Wai Yip, General Manager, Hurco (S.E. Asia) Pte Ltd.
Makino is featuring three of their best sellers - the F3 - CNC Vertical Machining Center, U6 H.E.A.T Wire EDM and EDAF2 - Sinker EDM. The highlight for Makino this year is the intuitive Hyper i control for U Series Wire EDMs. This control system features a user-friendly interface similar to that found on tablets and smartphones, making operation fuss-free.
"This new approach of user interface is entirely new to the industry and we're excited to have manufacturers visit our booth to experience the Hyper i controller on Makino's U6 H.E.A.T - a wire EDM designed for ease of operation, versatility and low operating cost," says Mr. George Lim, Vice President - Marketing & Product Support, Makino Asia.
"TRUMPF has been exhibiting at MTA VIETNAM for many years, as this show allows us to reach out to Vietnam's growing manufacturing industry which is an important market for TRUMPF Asia Pacific. The exhibition enables us to introduce new technology to work in tandem with Vietnam's growing capabilities. Two half-day seminars organised by the Lean 6 Sigma Network, consists case studies on Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing at work in Precision Engineering, as well as a focus on "Advances in Metal Forming Technologies".
There is also a half-day seminar jointly organised with the Multi Engineering Solutions Laboratory (MESLAB) - the largest mechanical and manufacturing community in Vietnam, themed "Enhancing Competitiveness of Vietnam Manufacturing in Globalised Economy". This seminar aims to provide the latest approaches and techniques in manufacturing and management, and will be an opportunity for enterprises to meet industry experts and get first-hand information about the latest technologies.
The Vietnam Welding Society (VWS) has once again co-organised a seminar and a competition at MTA VIETNAM. The seminar themed "The connection between welding and electro-thermal technology" will reach out to the welding fraternity in Vietnam.
The Vietnam Welding Skills Competition, which debuted in 2013, returns once again this year, offering participants an opportunity to pit their skills against one another, and to showcase their talents on the most important manufacturing event in Vietnam.
