NEC Selected by Indonesia's Bakrie Telecom to Expand IP Networks

TOKYO & JAKARTA, July 22, 2009 - (ACN Newswire) - NEC Corporation, in cooperation with NEC Indonesia, announced today its selection by PT Bakrie Telecom, Tbk, one of the Republic of Indonesia's leading providers of fixed wireless access services, to expand the provider's IP networks. According to the terms of the contract, NEC will provide a full-turnkey based communications system that includes multi-service edge routers and equipment installation.

NEC views its selection to provide Bakrie with new IP network supplies as recognition of the superior quality of NEC products and services," said Takeshi Tsukamoto, President of NEC Indonesia.

NEC will provide Juniper Networks routers for this project, in accordance with the global reseller agreement between the two companies.
Looking forward, NEC will continue driving the expansion of its worldwide IP network business, in cooperation with Juniper and their global partnership contract.
