TOKYO, Feb 26, 2015 - (JCN Newswire) - NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701) today announced that it will issue three white papers relating to 5G next-generation mobile telecommunications systems, coinciding with the holding of Mobile World Congress 2015 (March 2-5, 2015, Barcelona, Spain).
The three white papers are "Network Evolution toward 2020 and Beyond," which relates to the anticipated mobile networks of 2020 and beyond; "Reinventing Transport Networks for the Future," which focuses on mobile backhaul; and the "Massive-Element Antenna for Small Cell solutions in 5G," which focuses on Massive MIMO, one of the influential technology elements of 5G.
NEC considers that, in the mobile networks of 2020 and beyond, ICT needs to play an even more important role in creating industrial infrastructure that increases economic efficiency and urban infrastructure that increases people's safety and security.
