NEC Participates in Small Cells Asia 2015
- Illustrating key benefits of E-RAN indoor mobile connectivity solutions -

TOKYO, Apr 16, 2015 - (JCN Newswire) - NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701) will outline the advantages of its E-RAN Solution for enabling mobile operators to quickly provide indoor services to enterprises at Small Cells Asia 2015, April 20-21 at the PARKROYAL on Beach Road Singapore.

During the event, Gakuto Oka, Mobile Radio Access Network Division, NEC Corporation, will deliver a presentation titled "Toward the Next Stage of Indoor Small Cell Solutions." This presentation will outline NEC's flexible and scalable Small Cell architecture, economical migration toward indoor LTE Small Cells and the integration of indoor Small Cells with value added services. The presentation will be held on 21 April at 9:30.

NEC's E-RAN solution features innovative multimode LTE and 3G connectivity for enterprises. Using an enterprise's existing Ethernet infrastructure, E-RAN avoids the expense, and lengthy disruption of coaxial cable installation works, CAT6/7 Ethernet re-wiring and specialist indoor radio planning. As it uses only a fraction of the power of a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) by removing the need for dedicated air-conditioning units, operating costs are dramatically reduced. Also, NEC's Small Cell gateway simplifies small cell aggregation and integration into the macro network core while providing advanced security and system management functionality. It manages E-RAN systems distributed across multiple enterprise, shopping mall, airport or multi-tenant office block sites.
