NEC will be showcasing its Cyber Security Solution, and Face Recognition Solution.
NEC will showcase its Cyber Security Factory for Law Enforcement, a broad array of advanced cybersecurity solutions for Law Enforcement Agencies. The solution consists of the following components:
Digital Forensic Platform
The Digital Forensic Platform solution equips Law Enforcement agencies with the necessary forensic capabilities for combatting cybercrime. This suite empowers organizations with the know-how for specific forensic areas, including:
- Mobile device forensics
- Disk forensics
- Malware forensics
- Memory forensics
Cyber Fusion Platform
The Cyber Fusion Platform solution provides a secure internal and external collaboration capability (Cyber Information Sharing Portal) for Law Enforcement agencies:
Training
Training is provided in order to use the solution as well as ethical hacking techniques for Law Enforcement agencies to combat cybercrime.
New to the market is NEC's Secure Multi-Cloud Gateway, provided together with Sypris Solutions. SiOMetrics, a state-of-the-art identity identification system, which is set to be a game-changer for organizations that place high priority on identity management and authentication, will be used on a new technology concept called the "Secure Multi-Cloud Gateway." According to Dr Paul Wang, Chief Technology Officer of the Global Safety Division of NEC Corporation, the gateway is an NEC innovation comprised of a suite of solutions that will "seamlessly secure sensitive files and data over a heterogeneous cloud."
Governments and enterprises utilizing this technology can be assured of safely sharing information resources online via private and public cloud storage domains.
NEC has extensive experience and expertise in offering security solutions to governments around the world. The company's biometrics identification solutions have been used by more than 500 customers in some 40 countries. NEC's face recognition technologies were ranked No. 1 for speed and accuracy in the FRVT2013, carried out by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), commissioned by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. NEC will be showcasing the following suite of face recognition solutions at the INTERPOL General Assembly:
NeoFace Reveal
NeoFace Reveal is a latent face workstation providing law enforcement and crime laboratory agencies with the ability to enhance poor quality latent face images, search against their mugshot repositories, and identify potential candidates. NeoFace Reveal allows authorities to match facial images against these potential candidates, ranking the database images against the probe image and providing a ranked candidate list. The solution allows operators to easily scroll through and review the candidate list, enabling a quick assessment by skilled experts.
NeoFace Watch
The NeoFace Watch solution is specifically designed to integrate with existing surveillance systems by detecting and extracting faces in real time from existing video surveillance systems and matching them against select watch lists of individuals. When the system identifies an individual of interest from a watch list, it generates and issues an alert in order for actions to be taken to rapidly reduce the risk of public safety threats.
NeoFace SMART ID
NeoFace Smart ID is a mobile application equipped with multi-biometric capture capability. NeoFace Smart ID can capture facial images, fingerprints and voices in addition to descriptive data. NEC's NeoFace Smart ID allows operators to rapidly identify persons in the field without ID credentials based upon an AFIS or facial recognition search. NeoFace Smart ID can be used by skilled operators to collect evidence at crime scenes and if necessary, perform a latent search of the AFIS to expedite the success of the investigation.
