BEIJING, Mar 28, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - Himfr.com (http://www.himfr.com/hot-products/) latest report shows that the sales of iphone and other Smartphone in the fourth quarter for the first time surpass PC's.
Himfr.com observes that in the fourth quarter 2010, electronic products manufacturers were selling 100.9 million Smartphones, an increase of 87% year-on-year. But global sales of PCs were lower than predicted, increasing just 3%, to 92.1 million units.
The analyst from Himfr.com said that the relation between increasing smartphone sales and decreasing PC sales are unrelated. Because the smartphone and PC have their own different functions, the consumers often needs to own these two products at the same time, and PC is also the important tool to submit articles, edit pictures and create some other contents.
Himfr.com said however, sales of tablet PCs is bad for the PC. At the same time, the decreasing price is good for the increasing the sale of smartphone. The analyst said that we can see the smartphone which sells at about 100 U.S. dollars everywhere, this price is more acceptable by the consumers. For example the Amazon.cn, they have already sold the smartphone at a lower price, sometimes the price may negligible.
The another motive power of selling smartphone is the Android platform of Google. Some companies have already sold many kinds of smartphone with Android platform. The analyst emphasizes that the increase of the Android platform is advancing the sales of smartphone.
Himfr.com points out that consumers, compared with PC consumer, are all likey to change their own mobile phone. Actually, consumers may wait for 3 or 5 years to buy a new computer, because some computers guarantee to stay in good repair for many years. On the contrary, many consumers will often choose to change their mobile phone before their 2-year-agreement finished.
