HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM, July 1, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - MTA VIETNAM will return to Ho Chi Minh City from 5 - 8 July at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC). In its eighth edition, the event will occupy 8,800 square metres to fill 100 per cent of the venue, and will be the largest ever machine tool and metalworking exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City. The event has gained the interest of key international industry players since its inception in 2005, making it the premier sourcing and networking platform for professionals in the manufacturing sector.
Vietnam's manufacturing industry has seen a growth according to the country's Ministry of Planning & Investment, with the sector ranking second last year in terms of attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). This was up from a third ranking in 2009 with a 127 per cent increase in registered capital. With the country's manufacturing industry progressing as a result of government initiatives, World Trade Organization (WTO) commitments and industrial liberalisation, the country is set to become one of Southeast Asia's major manufacturing hubs.
Insightful conference program to complement exhibition
MTA VIETNAM has grown with the development of the manufacturing industry with each edition. This year, to maximise value to exhibitors and visitors, an insightful conference will be held alongside the exhibition. Over two days from 6 - 7 July, industry professionals will share and present delegates with expert knowledge that will benefit and enhance those with businesses in the manufacturing industry. The conference will also provide an excellent platform to network with their peers and discuss the latest developments taking place in the manufacturing sector.
The two-day conference will consist of four morning and afternoon sessions, discussing topics like Lean manufacturing Techniques in the Manufacturing Process; Modern Measuring Methods and Machines; Rapid Prototyping for Manufacturing Industries, and Models & Solutions for Vietnamese SMEs, and more.
