Positive exhibitor and visitor experiences are testament to close relevance of MTA VIETNAM2012

HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM, July 16, 2012 - (ACN Newswire) - Vietnam's leading trade show for the manufacturing solutions industry, MTA VIETNAM2012, closed on a high note on 6 July 2012. The show recorded a total of more than 10,000 attendees, including trade visitors, exhibiting staff, conference delegates and speakers, and members of the press. Featuring a wide range of quality products and technologies from renowned international brands, this year's MTA VIETNAM is the most comprehensive yet.

"Every edition of MTA VIETNAM sees us continually trying to bring the latest technologies and products to Vietnam. This year is no different, as we see the return of many quality international brands, resulting in the show exceeding its previous edition and becoming the largest MTA VIETNAM to date. The continuous growth is testament to MTA VIETNAM being the foremost and most relevant trade show for the manufacturing industry in Vietnam," affirms Mr. William Lim, Project Director of show organiser, Singapore Exhibition Services (SES).

New-In-Vietnam Machines Displayed on Show Floor

MTA VIETNAM2012 witnessed many local and international brands exhibiting the latest technologies never seen before in Vietnam. Making their debut into the Vietnamese market were technologies such as DMG MORI SEKI's Milltap 700, a rigid milling-drilling-tapping center; Mitsubishi Electric's new MV series Wire EDM machine; Unify Tech's Okamoto High-precision CNC surface grinding machine; NIKON's LC15DX laser scanner; and Optical Gaging's SmartScope ZIP Lite 250 amongst many others. Aside from renowned international brands exhibiting on the show floor, up-and-coming Vietnamese companies were also available to present their offerings to the manufacturing community, thereby heralding MTA VIETNAM as the most comprehensive machine tools trade exhibition in Vietnam.

"MTA is about technology for tomorrow. So in this exhibition, Mitsubishi Electric brings to Vietnam, the technology for the future with its new MV series Wire EDM machine," says Mr. Charles Tay, Senior Sales Manager of Mitsubishi Electric Asia Pte Ltd.

"Technology, technology, technology. This is what TRUMPF is all about. In a technology-focused show like MTA VIETNAM, TRUMPF brings the best in laser technology to serve Vietnam's manufacturing industry," says Mr. Edward Yuen, General Manager of TRUMPF Pte Ltd.

Mr. Nguyen Van Lai, General Manager of MTEX Vietnam Co Ltd, states, "My colleagues and I have visited MTA VIETNAM2012 over two days and we are impressed with this year's installation. There are new brands and innovative technology which have not been seen before and we are interested in automation, fabrication, laser and molding technology from companies such as Igus, Rofin and TRUMPF. Hope MTA VIETNAM continues to bring new products and solutions to Vietnam's vibrant manufacturing industry. I have visited MTA VIETNAM for a few years and this is the best show so far. We will definitely visit again next year!"

Business Platform for the Vietnamese Manufacturing Industry

Throngs of visitors scoured the exhibition floor to learn the latest updates in the machine tools industry, as well as to forge new or strengthen existing business contacts. With the wide array of the newest machines and technologies on display at MTA VIETNAM2012, many were pleased that the show had exceeded their expectations and met their business needs.

"MTA VIETNAM is the biggest machine tools exhibition in Vietnam, and it provides us with visibility not only to the Vietnamese manufacturing industry, but also to the international brands which are also present on the show floor. We are happy with the exhibition, and many of the Japanese exhibitors under the Japan JETRO Pavilion, such as Showa Electric MFG Co. Ltd and Asada Corporation, are planning to return to the next exhibition," states Mr. Keisuke Ozaki, Manufacturing and Environment Industry Planning Division, Manufacturing and Environment Industry Department of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).

"Vietnam is a very important market to the Taiwanese manufacturers. The Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders' Association (TMBA) and its members have chosen MTA VIETNAM as the platform to reach out to Vietnam's manufacturing industry for many years now. This year, our pavilion has over 40 companies displaying the best and latest products and technologies from Taiwan. Our companies have been busy attending to enquiries during the show days, and the TMBA Taiwan pavilion will definitely be back again," affirms Mr. Ricky Huang, Director of TMBA.

"We have gotten new contacts at this year's MTA VIETNAM, and the quality of visitors has also improved. The visitors are more knowledgeable, with many making queries about laser technology," says Mr. Daniel Nauer, Managing Director of Bystronic Pte Ltd.

Aside from the quality visitors witnessed across the show floor, MTA VIETNAM2012 also saw numerous "SOLD" signs displayed on their exhibitors' products. Long-time exhibitor, Yamazaki Mazak, saw all machines sold throughout the four days of the show. Amada Vietnam was also proudly displaying the "SOLD" signs across four of their machines.

"We are very happy as all our machines have been sold. The visitor quality has also improved as we have received a lot of good enquiries. We will definitely come back to MTA VIETNAM next year," states Mr. Ricky Hwa, Chief Representative of Yamazaki Mazak's Vietnam office.

"We are satisfied with the exhibition as we have sold four of our machines. We will definitely consider coming back to MTA VIETNAM next year," says Mr. Kazunori Kojima, General Director of Amada Vietnam Co., Ltd.

"MTA VIETNAM has reached its largest showing this year, and we hope to continue this growth in the next edition. With exhibitors already booking their space for the next edition, we'll definitely be exploring ways to expand the depth and breadth of the exhibition and conference to continue to deliver a highly relevant and top quality manufacturing solutions trade event for the industry," states Mr. William Lim.

MTA VIETNAM2013 will return to the Saigon Exhibtion and Convention Centre in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from 2 to 5 July 2013.
